Research shows that OCT and IVUS can improve intervention outcomes, with OCT being suitable for intricate lesions and IVUS providing strong data for left main interventions. The ESC 2024 guidelines recommend the use of IVUS or OCT in complex interventions and suggest using IVUS for left main interventions.Referring to the topic “Mission Impossible: Ultrathin Strut Stent in Left Main PCI,” Dr. Vu Hoang Vu – Head of the Interventional Cardiology Department at Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital shared his experience with real-life interventions using ultrathin strut stents for left main interventions, highlighting that the trend of using ultrathin stents helps reduce inflammatory responses and is suitable for complex interventions.

The next presentation in the program was the report “Safety and Efficacy of Supraflex Cruz DES in HBR patients receiving PCI and short DAPT regimen” by Dr. Ngo Minh Hung – Deputy Head of the Interventional Cardiology Department at Cho Ray Hospital.

The Supraflex Cruz stent is highly regarded for its safety and efficacy, especially in patients with high bleeding risk (HBR), achieving good results even with a short DAPT regimen. Prof. Gianluca Calogero Campo confirmed that Supraflex Cruz maintains optimal performance in cases of severe pathology.

The conference also featured the participation of Prof. Dr. Yoshinobu Onuma, who presented a report on Syntax Score 2020 and live clinical cases from S.I.S.
